Expected Changes in BPO Industry in Second Half of 2012

Year 2012 is expected to bring some big changes in the BPO industry. Understanding this changing environment is important for the BPO companies to move ahead successfully. Without realizing these changes trends, several Outsourcing Companies will fall flat on the ground. Below is a brief overview of the changes that are expected to place in remaining part of year 2012.

Social networking websites has become the new way of communicating with your clients. This is a clear indication that in near future, call centers will lose their dominant role as the source of communication with the clients. However, they will remain a part of the game and will add to the overall efficiency of strategy practiced to realize company’s goals.

Unstable economy of the largest targets markets are expected to produce more opportunities for business process outsourcing companies in India and Philippines. On one hand, this is an encouraging trend for these companies and on the other hand, the current election campaign launched by Mr. Obama and his crew is totally against this trend. This campaign is in favor of insourcing as an alternative for outsourcing. This new trend is aimed at bringing the manufacturing jobs back to the country. The companies that continue sending their jobs overseas will have to pay penalties high taxes, for instance.

The above two are the main trends that are expected to bring big changes in business process outsourcing industry in year 2012.  The companies that mold their action plan as per these latest trends will be able to make the most of these new trends. What other trends do you think will prevail in the remaining part of the passing year? What changes are going to happen in BPO industry during this time?
